We do everything with your appearance foremost in mind!!!

Framing your smile
If you so desire Dr. G can use Botox and Dermal Fillers to relax the look of your face and make it appear more youthful around your new smile.

Veneers
Veneers are thin semi-translucent “shells” typically attached to your front teeth. Veneers are customized in a lab, from porcelain material, and bonded to the outside of your teeth. Preparation of the teeth being treated varies from minimal to more involved, depending upon whether there are minor or major changes to be made in COLOR, CLOSING SPACES, DE-ROTATING TEETH (CROOKED TEETH), CHANGING SHAPES (for MISSHAPEN TEETH), LENGTHENING TEETH, REPAIRING FRACTURES, etc.

Veneers can be a great aesthetic solution for your smile that may even help you avoid orthodontic treatment. Sometimes it is better to have orthodontic treatment, or a combination of both techniques. Dr. Grussenmeyer will give you all of your options with pros and cons of each way of accomplishing what you want.

Subtle changes to your smile can be achieved with veneers. In most cases, veneer application is completed in just 2 visits. Large changes usually involve more extensive porcelain work than just veneers. Learn what will be best for you. It may be simpler than you think!

SMILE MAKEOVERS
These are Dr. Grussenmeyer’s forte! He will use his artist’s eye in doing a mock-up IN YOUR MOUTH, using composite material. You will have input as to what you like and dislike. You will be able to see what you will look like BEFORE the laboratory does your porcelain work.

As an alternative, we also have a SMILE CATALOG so you can pick the type of smile you would like. Of course, Dr. Grussenmeyer will help guide you with your selection.

Dramatic changes in your appearance can happen by doing as little as 2 teeth for some people.

Perfection is our goal. These cases involve veneers, crowns, and some restorations in between. Some people call them instant orthodontics because of the quick and dramatic changes that can be achieved. Retention with appliances to control parafunctional habits and myofascial function becomes necessary as the amount of change becomes larger.

Composite Bonding
Bonding may be a solution for:

  • Fixing or repairing chipped or cracked teeth.
  • Reducing gaps or spaces between teeth.
  • Hiding discoloration or faded areas on the tooth’s surface.
  • Enhancing your smile.
  • When a quick fix is needed, in an emergency (example: just ready to leave for meeting , function, or trip).

Negatives:

  • Not as durable, or long lasting, as porcelain restorations.
  • Will need to be replaced or touched up in future.
  • Stain more easily, from coffee, tea, wine, tobacco, foods, and candy.
  • If using fluoride, must use a sodium fluoride, not an acidulated one.
  • Foods and drinks which are acidic tend to break them down.
  • Less abrasive resistant than porcelains.
